SPARES or REPAIR. No warranty. Sold as seen. This 1998 2 berth Abbey Safari 470 S is for sale on a spares or repair basis - no warranty or service. This caravan has 2 main issues that we are aware of. Firstly, the roof strip above the front windows has leaked, so this needs re-sealing externally, whilst internally it needs some re-framing and then re-boarding around the front windows (materials less than £80 excluding window rubbers) - see photos. Secondly, the floor has delaminated (polystyrene insulation has been flattened). This can still be used as is - if you don't mind a spongy floor - or it can be repaired with 2 pack glue injected into the floor. The caravan is generally somewhat grubby internally, but could be good with a thorough clean. It is a pity because the bodywork is generally very good. It is just not commercially viable for us to carry out these repairs, but could make sense as a diy project. We tested the following appliances and can confirm that they are working: Gas water heater (not tested electric water heater); Gas and electric fire and blown air heating; Gas fridge; Extractor fan; Gas oven, grill and hob (except left rear burner). We have not done a gas pressure test. The front lounge can be used as 2 single beds or can convert into a double bed. The side kitchen has a sink, full cooker, and 3-way fridge. The rear washroom has a shower, toilet, handbasin and wardrobe. SPARES or REPAIR - no warranty and sold as seen.
